Why setup + retainer and not a flat project fee?

Because production AI isn’t a static deliverable. Models change, edge cases appear, integrations shift. A retainer keeps the system reliable as the world around it changes. Fire-and-forget projects die in 6 months.

Can I pause or cancel the retainer?

Yes, after the initial 3 months. Month-to-month thereafter with 30 days notice. We’ll also hand you full ownership of code, prompts and infra configs so you can continue without us.

Who owns the code and data?

You do, contractually, from day one. We don’t retain copies, we don’t train on your data, and we don’t resell it. It’s in the MSA.

What about LLM API costs?

Billed separately, directly on your accounts (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). We typically budget $200–$2,000/month depending on volume. Our retainer includes ongoing cost optimization.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, always — before the discovery call if you prefer.

Can we start smaller than Starter?

Yes — the AI Consulting engagement (from $3,500) is a fixed-price audit with no retainer. Good way to explore before committing.
